# ASAS Gateway Quick Start Guide
This guide provides the essential steps to power on your ASAS Gateway and establish initial network connectivity for further configuration.
Prerequisites:
- ASAS Gateway Unit
- Included Power Adapter
- Ethernet Cable
- Computer with a Web Browser on the same network
Steps:
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the gateway and power adapter from the packaging. Inspect for any visible damage.
- Connect Antenna: Securely attach the included LoRa antenna to the designated RP-SMA connector on the gateway. Important: Do not power on the gateway without the LoRa antenna connected, as this can damage the radio module.
- Connect Ethernet: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the gateway's Ethernet port and the other end to your router, switch, or computer (if configuring directly). For initial setup, connecting to a network with a DHCP server (most standard home/office routers) is recommended.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the gateway's power input port and then into a suitable wall outlet.
- Power On & Boot Up: The gateway will automatically power on and begin its boot sequence. Wait a few minutes (typically 2-5 minutes) for the system to fully initialize. Observe the status LEDs (refer to LED status guide if available).
Next Steps:
Congratulations! Your ASAS Gateway is now running and accessible. Proceed to the Configuration sections to set up your network connections (WiFi, 4G), configure LoRaWAN parameters, and tailor the gateway to your specific deployment needs.
